Brian Eno: 77 Million Paintings

  Brian Eno 77 Million Paintings

77 Million Paintings by British musician, composer, record producer, music theorist and singer Brian Eno. As a solo artist, he is best known as one of the principal innovators of ambient music.

The title is derived from the possible number of combinations of video and music which can be generated by the computer software, effectively ensuring that the same image/soundscape is never played twice.

77 Million Paintings is also an art installation and series of giclée art prints. I went to see the recent exhibition of this art installation and prints at UAM CSULB in December of 2009. It was excellent. I took the photos on the right and saved the UAM Web page so that we can enjoy and remember the wonderful experience.

Please click on the photos above for more information about the art of Brian Eno and to purchase the computer software from his official Web site.
